You're not my type... Or are you? {Theldyn / Nelly}

There was a buzz in the air as Theldyn walked the streets of Koben, but he expected as much. With all the discourse going on in the Empire Theldyn was actually a bit surprised that there wasn't more chaos to see in the capital city. Everyone in Linhythe was acting even more paranoid than usual, but the Kobeners seemed to be holding themselves together. Good show, mates he thought dryly.
Considering he had just returned from Tusa not a day earlier, Theldyn was looking to unwind a bit. That city had gone to shit, and with good reason, but that didn't make his job there any easier. Sure, it was nice to not have to worry about the city guard wondering how one more citizen ended up dead, but it didn't quite make up for the fact that he almost ended up dead himself on more than one occasion.
But, that was behind him for the time being, and he had thankfully already started the 'unwinding process' at a tavern a few blocks away. Unfortunately, a cog was thrown right into the middle of that plan when a few drunks started a bar fight and turned the place upside down. And thus, here he was, walking aimlessly through Koben's streets trying to find another tavern. Ideally one with less-rowdy patrons.
Theldyn was beginning to suspect he'd accidentally wandered into the artisan district, and while he could always appreciate fine leather working, he'd much rather be drinking and relaxing in a warm tavern somewhere. He suppressed a shiver; of course it was getting cooler out now that the sun had set. Mercifully, he found a small watering hole tucked in between two shops a few blocks away.
Upon pushing through the doors, the first thing to hit him was the glorious heat coming from a hearth crackling away across the tavern. At this point Theldyn didn't even care what drinks they served; he was staying here for a good, long while. While he waited at the bar to order a drink, he scoped out the patrons. A few military personnel were hunched over one table, speaking in low voices, all but ignoring the full steins in front of them. At another, smaller table, two rough-looking men were taking an opposite approach, focusing all their attention on drinking and sparing not a single moment for conversation. While Theldyn could appreciate their method, he was looking for a little bit of entertainment tonight.
Theldyn's gaze settled on a lone woman sitting near the back of the tavern. She was a bit younger than the type of woman he usually went for, but between the liquor that was already in his system and the fact that the bartender was staring him down as he waited for an order, Theldyn decided to go for it. He ordered ale for himself and requested another round of whatever she happened to be drinking before he headed over to her table.
He set the glass down in front of her, "I couldn't help but notice you were sitting alone, and I wondered if you might be willing to help me pass some time? You certainly have the friendliest looking face here, among other things," he said with a subtle grin. "I'm Theldyn," he continued, "And I apologize for getting a bit ahead of myself," he chuckled, offering his hand.
