Give me something to eat [Seth & Faolan]

The king's death rocked the Kingdom, and somehow Seth did feel dampened about it. He wasn't very attached to those in power, but he had been in Miras's fair company many times in the past. The end of an era, everyone was saying.

The streets were still crowded with people even after the initial funeral. Most of the Cantish that came north with him didn't make it for the main event, but stayed on to pay their respects. There was also the matter of seeing to it that the best replacement was chosen, especially the one who had the North's best interests at heart.

Patronising the freebies here was always Seth's biggest reason for sticking around. This kitchen was no different to the other places he'd been to these past few days. A little emptier today, but filled nonetheless. He looked about him for someone to show him around.

Someone came out from the back, and caught Seth's eye. An older looking elf, something oddly familiar making his gaze stick. He couldn't place the face yet. He didn't mean to stare, but he was looking at him for perhaps a little longer than was polite.

That... Yes, that. Seth blinked a few times before he stopped in his tracks with his eyes widened. "Mr Barath?" He looked harder at the elf. No mistaking it, that look. He'd almost completely forgotten about this man with all that happened in the last six months... "What... What are you doing here old man?" He didn't offer much else. In comparison to last time they met, Seth seemed slightly skinnier.

With that, a smirk grew on his face. "So you remember me," his smile turned a little sad, nostalgic. "Well... To be honest I cannot imagine why else you would be in Miras." Seth sighed. "Strange how things change so quickly."

"You cannot blame people for complacency..." He looked away. "His death was so sudden." Among other things, he thought. In these uncertain times, who knew how things would change. "S-so... How have you been, since I saw you last?" Seth wasn't sure why he was going into small talk, but he was curious.

"Good to hear." Seth didn't expect much of an answer. The old man seemed to still be like that. "Although, don't tell me you're working here." He chuckled. "Count me personally surprised you left the forest to be here."
