Singing in the Rain...? [Ryanna, Seth] [FIN]

Ryanna was just setting a pan in the sink as Seth made his way into the kitchen. She looked at him and sent another smile his way. "Not bad at all, nice an' fast. Breakfast 's gonna be eggs n, toast, so feel free ta take 's much as ya want."

She spent another second just staring at Seth, noting the stark white colour and loose-ness of his shirt (Or general lack thereof), before she smirked and turned to the back door quickly. "I took mah share o' the food already, so ya can dig in. I'll be out in th' fields waitin'!" Without another word, she moved outside, leaving Seth to his food in peace.

Ryanna was in the middle of swinging a sickle at some tall grass and placing what was cut into a large basket when Seth started to approach. Hearing his shuffling through the grass, she glanced up, shooting him a smile before she crouched down again, picking up a second sickle from the grass. "Hope it was fillin' 'nuff fer ya, 'cuz we'll be expendin' a bit o' energy out here." Holding out the other sickle, he nodded at the "closed off" area of tall grass around them, continuing, "We're runnin' low on fodder fer the' livestock an' Yamben, so we wanted ta get as much o' this chopped dry an' ready fer feedin' as we could. Don' gotta chop down th' whole area, jus' as much as we can get done b'fore th' rain comes."

Ryanna straightened out herself, wiping sweat off of her brow as she dusted her hands off. Looking around them, she nodded with a hum, turning to Seth. "We've done pretty well so far, we're makin' great time!" She blinked in surprise as she saw Seth's face getting a little red, before she chuckled amd looked up at the sky. "Still a tad too warm out fer ya, eh? I guess it is still muggy, so we can take a lil' break."

Picking up one last bundle of grass and putting it into the bin, shutting its lid after doing so, Ryanna nodded at him as she patted it. "Why don'cha run this on over ta th' barn, an' I'll go pour us a couple glasses o' somethin' ta help cool us off?"

Seth was greeted by several friendly faces in the barn, from the Yamben and the Cattle alike. Though he was spared from them outright tackling him—as they were all kept securely in their own stables by closed half-doors—if Seth walked close enough to any of them, he'd get a friemdly hed bump, little nudge, or even a lick if he ventured close enough. When he left, Ryanna wasn't in the fields yet, but the houses back door was still open. Just as Seth was approaching it, Ryanna showed up, waving him over.

"Got it inta th' barn okay? Glad ta see th' animals didn' do too much ovva number on ya in there." She handed him a glass of water and, taking a sip of her own, she looked over the section of field they were working on, and then the sky. "I'd say we've gotta good.... thirty minutes ta an hour b'fore th' rain starts ta come down? Think we can finish up anotha basket b'bfore then fer the otha barn, too?"

Ryanna tried not to laugh as Seth chugged down his water, saying, "We'll, they ain't no diff'rent from house pets; after they get used ta ya, they'll stop bouncin' all over ya." She finished off the rest of her water as well m, nodding at Seth's confident words and throwing a smirk back at him. "Well then, le's hop ta it—" She paused as he went about fixing his hair, and couldn't help but smile at the sight. "A'right then, if ya're all set, le's really 'ead on out there!" Before he had the chance to question her smile, Ryanna was out the door, jogging out to the small plot of land again.

The work went quick outside, and they managed to finish the chopping of the grass before the rain came. Ryanna accompanied Seth to the barn, helping him with the basket and showing him where to put it so the animals wouldn't be able to get at it. They went to the other and did the same, and once done, Ryanna stood by the entrance and looked up at the sky again. "Hmm... We've got anotha handful o' minutes... Wanna check on th' crops to see if any o' them's good fer harvestin'? Can't let 'em get oversaturated with water, since this rain looks like it'll be heavy an' all. Ya don' mind if we get a lil' soaked bt aome rain, do ya? It'll be coolin' at least?"
