Song-lu is as lively as he remembered.
From the people, the sounds and the distinct smell that it gives off every time you enter this city. It never changes, it just is.
" Here you go boy, three dumpling bread to go. " the waitress announced as she placed a small sack in his palm. Ebony smiled in return, bowing like you would in Song-lu thanking her in his tongue.
He began taking bites out of the little dumpling bread when he heard whispers and rumors about some queen that have been poisoned somewhere. He couldn't help but smile at the thought that everything became more interesting over a course of few months. He couldn't wait to hear if she died or not, the suspense was killing.
He snorted at the thought.
" Will you go see your father, Ebony ? " the waitress asked clearly aware of who he is. The boy smiled and shook his head, devouring the last dumpling before answering.
"Nope. " he replied simply, cleaning his fingers from the oil. She crossed her arms defiantly. " Why ? "
The boy took a napkin from her stand and cleaned the rest of his hands before throwing it to her face. " None of your business. " he scoffed, waving her goodbye and left while she angrily tried to retaliate by throwing the napkin back with no avail. "He's worried you know ! " she shouted.
He ignored her though, yawning to drown her out while strolling past a massive crowd to avoid awkward conversation all together.
