The man of masks (Gavin and Kier)

Kier was behind the counter, busy reading a little story until he heard a knock at the door. Which was odd, most children or costumers these days unusually just walked in if they were here to buy something. This was a shop after all, there was no need for formalities.

Kier slammed his book close together then hopped over the counter space. He hurried over to the door, stumbling over his feet after he realized that he forgotten his mask. It was sitting back at the counter space right next to the book he was just reading. "Ah---!" Kier quickly waved it off and decided to forget it, he didn't want to lose a potential costumer.

The half breed swung the door open and greeted the other with a wide smile, "Hello, Hello! Welcome! Why don't you come in sir? There's no need to be shy~!"

As the other spoke Kier's brows drooped a bit in concern, oh did I startle him? The half breed waited for the other to introduce himself before letting the door close behind the elf. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr.Faer'dyl and...hehehe Dierdre~" Kier cooed at the bird wanting to do nothing more then pet the little thing. But from his last experience with an owl, Kier new all too well that was a bad idea. So he tried not to stare at it for too long a gave it some space.

Swiftly and quickly the half-breed moved back over to the counter then hopped over it. "Kier Burk at your service! So, what can I do for you guys?" Kier chimed staring at the two. "I hope that you don't take offence to this sir, but you don't seem like the type to....." he paused for a moment to think of the right word. "To...be interested in this kind of stuff haha."

"Oh, I can tell sir" Kier openly teased the elf with a cheeky little smirk.He might have actually felt bad about it, if only the other didn't make it so painfully obvious that he was an awkward turtle.......with an owl (and a cute owl at that). Ah, but Kier was in fact, very interested in hearing this question of his.......................until the half breed actually heard it.

"Did I sell this mask?" Kier repeated gently with a sigh quickly realizing what this was all about. Despite his little smile, and Kier's overall pleasant disposition he was overly irritated. The amount of......"detectives" that wandered into his shop looking for this "cloak rider" or whatever was...ridiculous. Just because he ran a mask shop doesn't mean he had any connection with this....spy.

But nonetheless Kier decided to humor the other, "hmm...well......many masks comes and goes out of my shop. So it'll be hard to tell if I sold it or not, but fear not, I have a system." He said gently while grabbing the mask he previously forgotten to put on, "if I made that mask, Mr.Faer'dyl then--it should respond to my magic." As Kier spoke he pressed his fingers against his own mask then suddenly all of the tattoos across his body began to glow aqua marine. And sure enough, the hidden runes that where etch within the mask began to glow the same color.

"....See?" Kier said with a light smile before looking back at Gavin. "So...lets just double check and see if that mask really came from my shop,hm?"

"Thanks," Kier said gently after taking the mask. He paused for a small moment before attempting to pump his own magic into the mask, and just as he expected there was no reaction. His tattoos began to die down to normalcy before he handed the piece of wood back over to Gavin. "Well, it doesn't look like it's my work or even came from this shop. Even the mask that I didn't crave myself are marked with my runes. So......what are you going to do now?" Kier asked with a little smiled, he leaned forward then rest his chin within the palm of his hand.
