Night Time Comes [OPEN TAVERN RP?????]

Thallan: It was surely a loooong day for him, a few unhappy customers can ruin anyone's day, that's for sure. He didn't exactly have a chipper expression on his face, his brows furrowed a bit as he headed to a tavern to wind down. Maybe a couple drinks will help him sleep off all the stress. He looked to the sign on the tavern before opening the door and stepping inside. He closed the door behind him and went to step forward but was quickly pulled back, hair caught in the closed door. "ACH---!" He then opened the door and yanked his hair back before going to the bar.

Before he sat he abruptly ordered the bartender over, hands slammed down on the wooden countertop. Of course he felt priority over everyone else. "Give me a beer! Something good. Please." He ordered as he sat himself down on a stool. He brought his elbow to the counter and rested his chin in his palm, the fingers on his other hand tapping impatiently along the wood.

Guen: When the girl with the scarf wrapped around her sat next to her, Guen couldn't help but to stare a little. She seemed nervous, with the parcel in her hand. When the man began bothering the girl, Guen's hand casually lingered on the hilt of the knife concealed in her boots. Not that she was interested in being a heroine or anything, but there was just something so detestable about men such as these. The moment Rabia conceded her drink of choice, however, Guen's brow raised ever so slightly and her eyes instead followed the man as he turned away to order.

"Girly, you know he's going to be expecting something in return for that," she spoke as soon as the man was out of earshot, a faint smile on her face as she leaned forward towards Rabia. "What are you going to give him in return, hmm?" Her gaze trailed down to the parcel she had caressed earlier before darting back up to Rabia's face. She was about to say something else when she caught Thallan stepping in, and covered her lips with her hand to muffle a rather girlish laugh. What an undignified moment, for an otherwise dignified man. Elf. Half-elf? She assessed him quickly, as she did with everyone else. Intriguing that someone commanding such an air of self-importance would even find his way to such a low-class establishment. Or maybe he was here to revel in his own sense of prestige. 

Barkeeper: ((RANDOM NPC YEAAAAAH REFERENCE FOR WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE: CLICK)) The fat man collected the few coppers Juni left on the tabletop and grunted with displeasure - no tip. Not that he really had the right to expect any, but who didn't want more money? He thought the boy looked a bit shady, but that was typical of his clientele. After giving Jun a warning wag of his finger to not cause trouble here, he turned his attention to the man who had demanded for the beer for his 'lady friend' and the lad that came after. "Something good, something bad - you think you are at the king's court here? We have the house special, and only the house special. Pay up, lads. No coins, no drink." Patting his belly, he leaned against the counter and laughed gruffly as he pulled out two empty tankards, slamming them down as he poured out drinks. "Gotta stay in shape to keep the wife happy, y'know." 

Guen: Surprised by the edge in Rabia's words, Guen glanced over the petite girl again for a reappraisal of sorts. Seemed like there was more to her than met the eye... well, evident by her cryptic words as she tucked the parcel away. "I would never worry about a stranger, though wonder... that is something I cannot help," she replied with a grin, leaning against her hand as her elbow came to rest on the bar table. "Most things are of value to someone, so I have to wonder what it is that you say is so... worthless, despite it being worth equivalent of your life, almost. Don't worry though, I have no interest in it, except perhaps discovering the nature of its contents. But they say that curiosity did kill the cat." With a dramatic sigh, she took a sip of her drink and followed Rabia's gaze to the man who had his hair caught by the door earlier. After swallowing her drink, she chuckled softly at Rabia's half-muttered words and looked Thallan up and down a few times.

"We could always ask him," she suggested with a mischievous smile, and waved at Thallan to get his attention. Turning her gaze to the side, she caught Jun's look at disappointment and almost laughed when she realized that he was looking at her and Rabia instead. With an innocent smile, she turned her attention back towards Thallan instead. Was the man in the corner (Jun) a thief of sorts? After all, he seemed interested in the half-elf's purse... Not that she had been much of a thief herself, at least she had her charms and... other assets to work with in situations like this. 

Barkeeper: Grunted when Thallan paid - after all, it was more than enough... even if he would liked to see more. "Always more if you want any - just holler. Or grab one of the wenches." He pointed at the busty girls with dirty aprons walking about, and wiped his hands off against a dirty apron of his own. "I'm off to sit by the fire. You gents enjoy your drinks. And ladies." Tipping his hat, he turned and squeezed past Thallan with a heave and slowly shuffled towards the kitchen. 

Guen: Surprised that the girl had chosen to reveal the contents of her precious parcel, Guen had to take a double look at Rabia. Was she telling the truth, or was she simply trying to throw off those who were shiftily eyeing the package from all corners of the tavern? After all, she had made the mistake of revealing that the parcel was precious, in some sense. She took a moment longer to stare at the girl with a lukewarm smile, trying to assess her words. If she was telling a tie, then it was a very good one - after all, not many in this sort of place would be interested in a crumbling, old tome. About to say something else, she simply shifted to beam at Thallan and Jun as they made over, leaning against the counter on her elbow. Well, this should be interesting, seeing as the latter man had just been in the company of the brute who had tried to court Rabia for the night. 

As Thallan began to talk, she raised half-a-brow at the rather charming tone in which he spoke his words. The young woman was almost impressed, and was looking at Rabia like 'this is not a bear cage we are poking' when Thallan grimaced from his drink, losing what little composure he had from just seconds ago. Hiding a grin as she sipped her own drink, her gazed switched between the two men until she spoke with a teasing smile, "Suspicious or not, why do you think you are qualified to help? And you, are you volunteering to help instead?" She asked sharply, turning her attention to Jun suddenly."Do you even know where my friend's going?" Referring to Rabia subtly as her companion, she shifted in her chair so that she would lean closer towards the other girl, almost looking protective.
