Eat, Drink, and be Merry! [Ebony, Moriel] [FIN]

Moriel rubbed the back of her head bashfully as Ebony applauded her efforts. feeling flattered once again. "It was nothing, really, ahaha... Oh, sure you can--!" Moriel attempted moving closer to Ebony so he could try to pet Tantdion, but the Raven refused, jumping now from her shoulder to the top of her head, throwing her off balance for a second. "T-Tandion, what are you—!" She was cut off by several loud squawks and squabbles from the Raven, all seeming rather aggressive in nature as the Raven stared right at the boy and his Lion.

'Did you not just hear what he said, Master? He thinks I smell good! And I see the look that Familiar is giving me; they both just want me for dinner! The Raven complained to Moriel, and after a second, she laughed, shaking her head lightly so as not to throw the bird off in the process. "Tan, no, I think you misunderstand—it's just a talent of his, is all. I'm sure he didn't mean it in the sense of wanting to eat you—" Again, she was stopped, but by something more like a hissing noise rather than "regular" bird noises as the Raven seemed to fluff up on her head.

You can speak for the boy all you want, but how can you speak for that Lion?

Moriel saw Ebony nearly fall, reaching out w=quickly to try and catch him and help him right himself. "O-oh, s-sorry--!" The Raven flew from her head now to rest on the "roof" of the Well, watching as the boy corrected his position. He spoke on about meaning no harm, only wanting to touch him and his feathers. Tandion also noted, that even though he flew away, the boy's head failed to follow it's movements, though the Lions eyes watched him carefully. Not to mention, it seemed that he failed to track his movements earlier as well, when he had moved up Moriel's arm. Oh? Could the Half Elf not see at all then? The Raven almost seemed like it was smirking now; ah, what an interesting development.

"Uuuhm, well, maybe that would work, yes..." Moriel answered Ebony hesitantly, looking over to her Raven who had flown off. She didn't like that look he was giving Ebony; normally, she liked playing pranks on people too. But only after she had become friends with them, never before. Tandion knew this too, but that didn't look like it was going to stop him from trying. "And I know, Cellius seems very friendly! It's not every day you meet a Lion who'd rather lick your nose instead of biting off some body part of yours, honestly, so..." She smiled as Ebony flipped over to hug his Lion, but it was replaced with surprise as her Raven flew back over and, rather than landing on Moriel again, he landed on one of Cellius' horns. Moriel blinked, and then giggled a bit; it was a weird sight. A Half Elf, a Lion, and a Raven. It almost sounded like the set-up for a bad pun.

"Well... I think he's starting to warm up to you two at the very least..." Tantion turned around on the horn so that he was facing Ebony's direction. He stared at the boy, watching him to see what he might do. He had made his landing as silent as possible, disturbing as little air as he could. Could he see now that he was right before him? Or could he "smell" how close he was now, at the very least? The Raven wanted to test out the extent of the Boy's blindness, and the fastest way to do so was by trying out tests on his own... Especially since it didn't seem like his Master had caught onto the fact that the boy was Blind yet.

"That's the thing, right? Neither have I really!" Moriel replied to Ebony with a laugh, trying to lighten his mood. "The only other Summoner who's summons I've been around are My Dads, and I haven't gotten to see his in a very long time, so... Same goes for him; you're one of the only other summoners who's summon we've actually met in person before. It's all just a new experience for the both of us—the four of us now, I suppose...!

"Tan, he's saying he won't bite and neither will his Lion, so why not just be a little more open?" Moriel tried to coax her Raven out of the attitude it was showing, but it was no use. He wasn't really trying to avoid Ebony or Cellius now, shown by his presence on the Lion's horn and how he had been waiting for Ebony to notice him. And, surprisingly, he had not. Well well, this was an interesting turn of events indeed... Ah. Tandion turned towards the Lion's head as it tried spitting fire at him. He was either trying to roast him or he was trying to get him to move. Tandion puffed himself up with his feathers indignantly again; well the lion wasn't the only one who could shoot little flames at others! After a moment, Tandion took his own turn to "spit" little chutes of flame towards Cellius; not close enough to really cause any damage, but just to show 'I can do it too so stop unless you're trying to speak to me'. But of course, not a second after he had allowed himself to get distracted had Ebony started trying to pet him. Tandion caught this just in time, however, and hopped off of Cellius' horn to rest on his head instead, out of Ebony's reach again. Would he notice that shift? Since he was paying attention now, he might, but... He was beginning to like Ebony's steadfastness, even if it was to do something as simple—and somewhat meaningless—as trying to pet him.

The Raven glanced at his master for a moment, the look saying something along the lines of 'Don't make a big deal out of this', before he finally flew off of the lion's head, landing in Ebony's lap. Normally he'd go for the head or the shoulders, but the boy had wanted to give him a pet or two, right? Moriel blinked in surprise at the display, saying, "Oh...! Well then, I guess he's warmed up to you, finally!"

Oh no, this was not what Tandion had been expecting at all this wasn't what he agreed to he didn't sign up for this-- Tandion puffed up again to try and show his distaste at Ebony and his words as he pet and pet and pet and pet him, but it didn't seem to be changing anything. He was trapped,, and there was no escaping it now. The only thing that managed to shake him from his small brooding session was Ebony's mention of his ability to make fires, as well as the fact that he was, indeed, testing the boy. Was he not blind then? No... He was definitely still blind. But... With extrasensory perception, as it would seem. Either that or it was his Familiar warning him of these this, but it didn't look like they had communicated anything with the other recently, so....

Hm. Well then. Tandion settled a bit more comfortably in to Ebony's lap; the tests could stop for now. He at least proved he was no blind, bumbling idiot, so they'd just have to test how much farther these extra senses of his could go. Moriel, in the meantime, laughed at Ebony and shrugged. "Well, if he was testing you before, it looks like he's done now. Maybe he's starting to like you and your lion too... And Yes, he can indeed use fire! Though it's only a small amount he can use in his current form, he's a flame elemental, so..." Moriel trailed off, noticing how fidgety Ebony was getting. She was about to ask what was on his mind when he mumbled the answer. Moriel just stared at him for a moment before she reached up to pat one of his knees with a smile. "What, you're still worrying about that? I practically forgot about it already, I've been having such a fun time chatting with you! Besides, if you hadn't taken the food, we wouldn't have been able to speak with each other like this either, right?"

Moriel couldn't help but snicker, and neither could Tandion, as Ebony was "smacked" by his Lion. It was definitely a comical sense, to say the least. IT even helped Tandion to overlook the fact that Ebony continuously called him 'fluffy' and 'soft' and hugged him out of nowhere. All things he was majorly not used to because he never showed any kind of interest in said activities ever. This one small exception was sure to nip him in the bud later... But again, he was overlooking all that now in favor of laughing at the Young Summoner's expense.

After that though, Moriel put her hands on her hips, shaking her head at him, a new smile stuck on her face. "Well, don't feel bad! You don't have to do something kind for someone and expect something in return...?" She trailed off as he suddenly got an idea, placing her Raven on his Lion's back as he hopped off and took her hand. She blinked in surprise as he went on about honestly buying her another meal. As he dragged her back, she couldn't help but smile and laugh along the way, answering, "Well, if you really really insist upon it like so, then how can I refuse? You, too, are very kind for going so out of your way to do this just to repay me...!"

Moriel giggled at Ebony's attempt to properly order the food item she had before, so she grabbed the menu from the table and pointed at the proper dish for the waiter, adding on, "I'll just take a water as well,please." Once they had it written down amd headed off, she returned her attention to Ebony. As he spoke, she laughed again.

"Nooo, not suppose; are. You are nice, hands down." She waved her hand in the air at his mention of priorities, continuing, "And as far as stuff like that is concerned, yeah, I guess Linhythe is a bit odd to decide when stealing and rudeness is appropriate and when it's not. But you seem to have them leveled out anyway. I mean look, you dragged me all the way back to this pub just to pay me back for the small meal! Ah-- and I said don't worry about taking it already, right? Like you said- and like I said- it's nice because we got to meet each other!" She threw another bright smile his way, responding to the last of his words, "And thank you! It's always nice to hear that I'm not boring or anything, haha. And you too, you know! You seem really nice and fun to be with, so I like you too!"

"You're very welcome, Ebony," she answered back, smiling at the bot cheerfully. There was light coversation between the both of them before the food arrived, and after it made it to the table—and stayed at the table, this time—most of the conversation came to be centered around how lovely the meat and vegetable dish was. When she got around to the last bit of meat, Moriel insisted Ebony take it himself—with a fork this time, so as to keep his hands clean—since with "his" plate, he had given her his last piece of meat, as well.

Once the dinner was done, Moriel blinked in surprise as Ebony started firing question after question her way. "Woah, and I used to think that I asked a lot of questions! Hold on, let me answer one or two before you go on!" She looked up in thought now, mulling over the questions and her answers before she looked at him with a nod. "Alright, so my hometown! I'm from Iadlain, so I don't think it has as many people as say Linhythe here, or even the Capital itself. But it's got just enough to feel like it's more than a small town. I think it's nice—ooh! Especially during and after it rains, I think those times are the best. And well it's in the middle of the forest, I think that's cool? Ah! And when Harvest Eve rolls around, those days are really fun too, because then cool things come out of the forest to play as well! The forest itself is kinda cool too, you just have to take care to know where you're going, amd make sure you have the right things on hand as you go through. And lions? I don't think so, I've never been deep enough in the forest to see what's there. But maybe!"

Moriel rested her arms on the table now as well, leaning forward excitedly just as Ebony had. "Alright, alright, now it's your turn! Tell me about Linhythe—oh, or tell me more about where you're from now, too!"
