Xoda blinked at her statement. The same as her. The idea wasn'the to far fetched. Many people tried to make themselves more presentable when out in public. For what reasons, she didn't much care for. Xoda only dressed the way she did because this is what she had earned over the years.

Then came the onslaught of questions. The woman had an interest in magic. Going all the way to Song-Lunch as well. Still, with her only being human, that practice can only go but so far...

Though she did mistake what Xoda'so abilities were. Not that she could blame her. "I'm not much of a mage. I only know the basics since I never studied it."

Her attention moved to her bag on the other end of the bed. From under there, she pulled out a small wooden stick. It was maroon, etched with a golden pattern. The same design as her gun. "The term bound doesn't necessarily apply to this." She took a piece of gold, that she took out eariler, and ran it along some of the etching. A few sparks flew out from the wood before it changed into her choice weapon. "I specialize in Alchemy, more specifically transmutation and weapon enhancement."

She is beauty, she is grace, she will kick you in the face!

Bethel was like a child that had just been given their first weapon or spellbook. How amazing to see someone else show off their craft, especially since it's not the same 'Odissi-dance-spit-fire' technique she's used to seeing.

"That's--" she stopped herself, incase the word choice would have been a bit too punny for tastes. She feared for the conversation to get awkward, so she quickly pushed onto another subject.

"Magic's a bit tedious, though, the whole 4 spell schools, I had someone in Tusa come up to me thinking I specialized in Alteration, wanted a spell that could erect a candle. "No, sir, I can only prepare a lit candle, not erect one out of matter around us..."

She stopped for a brief moment, "Am I... talking to much?" she put her hand around her mouth, "I'm so sorry if I keep rambling on, I'm such a Caetus, you know."

"What was that weapon, the ones that you were all holding? it looked like an advanced bow or something, but where are the arrows?"

Xoda carefully observed her as she went off tangent. The woman was rather passionate about magic, training for so long and even traveling across the Koben Empire. She could understand her sentiments, though Xoda herself wouldn't go so far for her studies. Thanks to her bussines, she'd often be able to obtain what she needed.

"You're fine," she grinned.

Xoda changed her rifle back to its simple form. She placed it by her side, keeping her hand close to it. "It is," she answered. "The bow was just an attachment that I use sometimes. I haven't perfected it yet so it only serves as a decorative function."

Bethel nodded. Her little worried soul began to ponder about the night's events, and how hostile this Inn was, the one that they're actually sleeping in. It's crazy, she thought.

"I'm so worried... just incase, you know, word gets out fast nowadays, doesn't it? Word meaning that we, two females, caused an uprising in an inn," she huffed, "It'll be on one of those fancy papers, 'Wanted: two coloured women'," she put her hand out, "Well, onyx is still a colour," she smirked for a period, "the lightskins walk around Tusa relieving their inappropriate projects and defacing culture..." she shook her head.

"Hopefully tomorrow might bring us something. The trains might be running," she cackled, then groaned as she turned over in the bed. "Goodnight, Madam Xoda."

"Oh I'm sure it'll be fine," Xoda mused. "Far to often men like that have caused trouble around these parts. If anything, they'll be more wary for a time." It was an awful thing to think about but such rough housing in inns and tavern was a normalcy. Linhythe was far worse than Koben, but the fact remained. Sometimes she wondered how much life would have been different if she never left home. One things for sure, the half-elf wouldn't be as ruthless when it can to drunkards.

Xoda hummed at her response. "Hopefully they will be, I'd like to get to Song-Lu soon." She stretched her arms out before settling in the covers. "Night Bethel."

The morning came fast and quick, the comfort of the bed and its quilt was so snug than the imperial, hay-bale stuffed bed Bethel owned back in Tusa. The sun glinted warmly on the mahogany wood flooring, and the clean upkeep made Bethel smile warmly, entering the small en-suite to equip her garb. She neatly tightened her hair back into a quick plait, and exited the en-suite to greet her temporary room mate.

"Good morning, Madam Xoda," she giggled, but the opening of their room's door interrupted her cheerful exchange. It was the rude innkeeper from last night, which left a distasteful look on Bethel's face. He gave brief news, "The trains are back in order, so you can leave the room key here when you're finished... powdering your noses."

This left Bethel in a bit of a sneering match, the man's cackling got on her last nerve. Discretely wondering over to the staff, its orb emanating a sickly aura as she equipped it, she gave a flick of the finger, a light spark assailing the man's trouser backs. As the door closed, muffled screams of panic began to rattle down the corridor, down the stairs in a crashing sound, and yells of the third kind. She giggled again, and clasper her hands together, "By the gods, that felt so good," she smiled.

The morning light bled through the inn's cheap curtains. The warmth of it gradually woke Xode from her sleep. She sighed, lifting herself from the comfort of her bed. Her hair had spread out and somewhat wild when she got up. Having long hair was such an annoyance, but Xoda couldn't say she would cut it.

The half-elf changed out of her evening gown as her roommate woke up as well. "Morning." She replied, watching Bethal as she got ready. Rather energetic for it being so early in the morning. Xoda turned to the human that just opened their room door. She kept her face neutral as the Bethel and the inn keeper held a king of starring contest. The half-elf muttered a few choice words once he left.

Then Bethel cast a spell and she promptly heard yelling from below. Xoda grinned at the sight, letting out a few laughs. "I wouldn't mind getting a hit off myself, but that was good." Relations with humans were always iffy at best. Though now it seems she'll be able to get along with Bethel well.

Bethel spun at the sound of her half elf companion talking, flicking the fishtail of her plait to lie on her shoulder. She gave a sassy smirk, and began to set up to leave the inn for the station. She felt a little ill, being in Koben for so long. "I'm not really... fond of staying here for long." she sighed, "It makes me feel a little grubby, how snarky and rude some of the people are from here."

She pondered on daydreams, or moreso, day-nightmares. How Koben could get attacked any second, Could that happen? No, stop thinking about those things...

It was noticeable that Bethel had grown quiet for an obscene amount of time, which she had to recuperate from immediately. "Oh, um, shall we leave?" she asked.
